REAL ID/National ID Card

Back in May of 2005 U.S. Senators voted -- unanimously, with no discussion, and without even reading the bill -- to create a national ID card.

Actually, the Senate approved an $82 billion spending bill for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. But included in that package was a rider for what's known as the Real ID Act.

The Real ID Act essentially turns your driver's license into a national identification card. Or at least licenses issued by 2008 will be. That's when the program is to start.

If the act's mandates take effect in May 2008, as expected, Americans will be required to obtain federally approved ID cards with "machine readable technology" that abides by Department of Homeland Security specifications. Anyone without such an ID card will be effectively prohibited from traveling by air or Amtrak, opening a bank account, or entering federal buildings.

The Real ID Act blackmails state governments into turning their drivers licenses into a draconian tool of the federal homeland security apparatus. If states refuse, their citizens lose so called "privileges".

Whilst The Real ID Act is defended by Administration minions as being all about "solving illegal immigration" or "preventing terrorists from entering the country" in reality it is about tracking and controlling all Americans.

We know that a national ID card linked to a federal database will mean that all purchases can be tracked and traced and all Americans will be tracked everywhere they go.

Among the most vehement critics of the bill was Congressman Ron Paul who stated that Real ID

"...will not address our real vulnerabilities. It will, however, make us much less free. In reality, this bill is a Trojan horse. It pretends to offer desperately needed border control in order to stampede Americans into sacrificing what is uniquely American: our constitutionally protected liberty."

The London Bombings

Undoubtedly one of the most significant events of the year was the London Bombings. With multiple offshoot issues we relentlessly uncovered the facts that pointed towards the truth, that the operation was an inside job.

The London Times reported last weekend that MI5 and MI6 had specifically warned Tony Blair before the July 7 suicide bombings that Al-Qaeda was planning a “high priority” attack specifically aimed at the London underground system.

Furthermore, the intelligence services were aware of the "bombers" and had them under surveillance 18 months prior to the attack. The simply decided to "stop monitoring" them.

We uncovered the fact that the 7/7 Mastermind was working for British Intelligence.

And perhaps the biggest revelation was that London Underground bombing 'exercises' took place at the same time as the real attack.

A consultancy agency with government and police connections was running an exercise for an unnamed company that revolved around the London Underground being bombed at the exact same times and locations as happened in real life on the morning of July 7th.

The exercise fulfilled several different goals. It acted as a cover for the small compartmentalized government terrorists to carry out their operation without the larger security services becoming aware of what they were doing, and, more importantly, if they were caught during the attack or after with any incriminating evidence they could just claim that they were just taking part in the exercise.

The shooting of Jean Paul De Menezes on July 22nd was one offshoot issue that we covered in depth and exposed how all the facts pointed to a top level cover up.

During the Summer, Alex Jones visited London to document the immediate aftermath and the police state crackdown that followed the attacks. In a historic moment, just one day before a "free speech zone" was implemented Alex took to Parliament Square and Bullhorned the British Parliament, pointing to the facts that prove the bombings were an inside intelligence operation.

Bird Flu Fearmongering

One issue that has reared its ugly head throughout the whole year is the panic surrounding the "coming pandemic" of Bird Flu. We have exposed how it has been used as a pretext for martial law control in America.

During a White House press conference in October, President Bush confirmed that he would attempt to impose military curfews and quarantines in case of a flu pandemic occurring in the United States.

A few months earlier in April Bush issued a directive allowing authorities to detain or isolate any passenger suspected of having avian flu when arriving in the United States aboard an international flight.

This is a slow process of conditioning the public to accept mandatory vaccinations and restrictions on mobility under a rule of martial law.

We have also exposed how prominent Administration officials and elite figures are profiting from the hyping of Avian Flu and how the "cure" they are urging everyone to buy in bulk is actually completely useless.

Furthermore, many experts and scientific authorities have gone on record to suggest that the threat from bird flu is totally fabricated.

Spanish officials even went so far as to dismiss fears over bird flu sparking a global epidemic among humans as "science fiction", saying the virus currently only poses a threat to birds.

New 9/11 revelations

Still one of the most important issue we have continued to cover throughout 2005 is the 9/11 cover up of government complicity.

In March Popular Mechanics penned a 9/11 hit piece. The Magazine featured a so-called 'serious analysis' of alternative explanations behind 9/11.

In actual fact, the entire article was a straw man exercise. Popular Mechanics attributed false arguments to researchers and then attacked them. On top of that they lied outright by claiming that there was only one intercept of errant aircraft before 9/11.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the author of the piece was Benjamin Chertoff, the "senior researcher" at Popular Mechanics and cousin of Michael Chertoff, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

Despite such hit pieces, new revelations continued to pour out and once again Prisonplanet and Infowars was heading their exposure. North Carolina Wesleyan College is now even running a political course in which the professor, Jane Christensen PhD, recommends a daily visit to Alex Jones' websites to her students.

Perhaps the most telling 9/11 revelation of this year was confirmation that former Mayor of New York Rudolph Giuliani got a warning that the South Tower was about to collapse.

Why is this important?

No steel framed building had ever collapsed from fire damage before in history. The event was unprecedented. To know the building was about to collapse would require inside knowledge of 'the 9/11 script' and how it was supposed to unfold on that fateful day.

This prompted yet more prominent experts to reveal that the towers were brought down with strategic explosions.

Brigham Young University physics professor Steven E. Jones was the latest credible individual to come forward and assert that the official story of 9/11 differs wildly from the observable facts.

Jones appeared on The Alex Jones Show in November to discuss a story that refuses to die and one that has again been pushed to the forefront of alternative research.

Jones made numerous compelling points on the collapse of both the twin towers and Building 7. According to Jones, his scientific peers have been very sympathetic to his research and have agreed with his conclusions.

We also uncovered previously unreported footage from MSNBC on the day of 9/11 that states police found suspected bombs and there were explosions in the buildings on 9/11.

Another interesting issue arose in June when the owner of the WTC complex, Larry Silverstein finally responded to his "pull it" comments of 18 months previous.

Silverstein told a journalist that he "meant something else" by the "pull it" comment but mysteriously refused to elaborate any further.

Finally, Sgt. Matthew Tartaglia, a rescue worker at 9/11came forward and gave a very revealing interview to Alex Jones, suggesting that rescuers were prevented from doing their jobs properly, were not protected from harmful asbestos, and how explosives, possibly tactical nukes, brought down the towers.

Mass Awakening / Credible spokespeople

One of the most encouraging things we witnessed in 2005 was a plethora of credible people speaking out and condemning Martial law, 9/11 and the new world order agenda.

Former Treasury Officials, Congressmen, Army Generals, economists, British Members of Parliament, former CIA analysts, former MI5 agents, UN officials, you name it, they all came forward and gave backing to what we have been reporting for a long long time now.

The past year has witnessed a groundswell of support for controversial truths from credible individuals across the political spectrum.

We tread on fertile ground and the climate has never been more welcoming of what would otherwise be considered difficult realities.

In the face of despair born of a world in constant swirling turmoil, we need to regularly remind ourselves of the fact that many hands make light work and slowly but surely we are gaining momentum and having an increasingly indelible effect.

Government Spying

The most recent and rather obvious revelation of 2005, a long standing issue that we have been talking about for the best part of a decade.

The New York Times suggested that the Bush administration has instituted "a major shift in American intelligence-gathering practices" when it "secretly authorized the National Security Agency to eavesdrop on Americans and others inside the United States to search for evidence of terrorist activity without [obtaining] court-approved warrants."

Bush defended the actions, saying that he acted in the aftermath of the Sept.11 attacks because the United States had failed to detect communications that might have tipped it off to the plot. He also said they will continue to spy on us.

The "leak" of this story came at a very convenient time as the Neo-Cons were desperately trying to get through the extended Patriot Act in the Senate. Revelations indicate that The New York Times had known about the story for at least a year and had not run it, under government orders.

Domestic spying is nothing new, there has been at least half a century of such activity in America. The naïveté of the public is at an all time high as they would rather switch off than engage in the mess that is modern day politics in America.

The general public will believe that government spying on them is new, and secondly, they will just accept it because they are being told in a very unsophisticated fashion, that it is keeping them safe.

Martial Law / Hurricane Katrina

Arguably the story of the year. In the aftermath of Katrina in New Orleans we witnessed the localized beta test for the grand martial law takeover.

Numerous credible sources came forward with examples of how the Federal Emergency Management Agency deliberately sabotaged Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in New Orleans.

This represented a ruthless attempt on the part of FEMA to impose a federal takeover of the area for their own benefit amid a tragedy that had already claimed thousands of lives.

It was also reported that Mexican troops were being escorted by the US army to help relief efforts for hurricane Katrina. Several convoys were said to be fully armed with Heckler & Koch German assault rifles.

Blackwater mercenaries were also employed to ensure the martial law takeover and quell any resistance.

Major newspapers reported, and we documented, how in all areas of the city, including middle-class neighborhoods undamaged by floodwaters, paramilitary police went door-to-door demanding citizens’ firearms.

The New York Times even admitted that this is so the citizenry could not resist when they were physically forced to leave their homes.

Troops were deployed in "combat operations" and citizens were referred to as "insurgents".

In other martial law developments, The police state was showcased with the biggest anti-terrorism drills ever held in the United States. The month of April saw a mock biological attack in New Jersey and a simulated chemical-weapons explosion in Connecticut.

In September, The President visited Colorado Springs and the U.S. Northern Command bunker. Bush was overseeing (but certainly not controlling) a martial law takeover drill directly connected to the Granite Shadow operation.

Granite Shadow was revealed to be related to the military’s extra-legal powers regarding weapons of mass destruction. It allows for emergency military operations in the United States without civilian supervision or control.

In November we reported that in a martial law showcase, Miami police announced they will stage random shows of force at hotels, banks and other public places to keep terrorists guessing and remind people to be vigilant.

The Miami model is the very definition of a pervasive police state based on the fear of terrorists and the fear of being identified as a terrorist if you do not comply with every demand, no matter how much it brutalizes every notion of what it is to live in a free society.

December saw VIPER Teams Patrolling Mass Transit Facilities nationwide, involving Federally brainwashed goons stomping round with machine guns and vicious dogs, getting in everyone's face and randomly grabbing and searching people on the subway.

We also highlighted further revelations in December that the Pentagon now collects domestic intelligence that goes beyond legitimate concerns about terrorism or protecting U.S. Military installations.

It has a giant database set up into which peaceful antiwar and counter-military recruitment groups have been entered as possible threats.

And of course, the House voted to revise and extend The Patriot Act to give the FBI more powers to track communications, monitor library usage, demand business records, conduct secret searches, monitor telephone calls and e-mails, and obtain bank records and other personal documents.

All the above was of course framed by the fact that the US President now considers the Constitution to be merely a "goddammed piece of paper"
